Let’s talk about Aroma Diffusers
Aroma Diffusers go hand in hand with Essential Oil. Did you know that botanical ingredients have been used as healing agents and medicinal purposes for centuries? Even today, they’re still being used in wellness practices and aromatherapy across the globe.
It’s common knowledge that kitchen aerosol sprays and chemical air fresheners can be bad and we need to consider whether they are really worth the risk to our health. Or, are we better off in the long run to hurl them into the rubbish bin? Many sprays use carcinogens and unwanted chemicals that can aggravate sinus and bring on asthma. Independent lab testing has also found the presence of hormone disrupting chemicals that certainly can be risky for babies and young children.
Not to worry, you can create your very own chemical free oil blends to keep your living spaces smelling clean and fresh. Aroma diffusers are an excellent tool to disperse DIY oil blends into the air where the effects can be felt. They have long been used for aromatherapy treatment because they cleanse the air and also promote relaxing and soothing feelings in your environment. There are 4 different types of diffusers:
1. Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser
This ultrasonic Oil Diffuser system is electric and does not require heat. Its mechanism agitates cool water and oil at a rate of millions of vibrations per second. This process creates a cool, fine mist vapour that is dispersed into the air. If you place your hand over the top of this device, it will not get wet. This device is safe when children are around and commonly used for aromatherapy, an air purifier and humidifier.
2. Nebulizer Diffuser
This particular diffuser does not use water. It simply pressurises air and draws the essential oil through a nozel. This process will then break down the oil and disperse it into the air.
3. Evaporative Diffuser
This particular diffuser is fairly basic. The oil is dropped onto a filter and evaporates when a fan blows past or captures a breeze. Unfortunately, this method may diminish the therapeutic essential oil chemistry.
4. Heat Diffuser
This diffuser uses heat. A tea light candle is usually placed underneath a bowl to vaporise an oil and water mixture. This process may also damage the chemical structure of the oil.
I love it when my essential oils kick in!
The ultrasonic aroma diffuser technology is our favourite diffusion method and an excellent choice for aromatherapy. They come in all sizes, colours and shapes with sleek and modern designs to match your decor. Their LED changing colour lights create the perfect ambience at night and emits a wonderfully, fresh aroma throughout the entire room.
We love essential oils because they’re a natural source originating from roots, flowers and other parts of plants that have been used for centuries to enhance mood and health in your home. High grade essential oils contain therapeutic properties without artificial ingredients, pesticides, fillers or contaminants.
What are the health benefits of Therapeutic Oil?
It’s no secret that essential oils have many diverse benefits and for a good reason! Their supporting properties can speed up the process of healing, help us to sleep restfully, soothe and relieve pain, boost energy, reduce negative emotions, relieve stress and can even help balance our hormones. It’s important to know that essential oils are highly concentrated and must be diluted before use. They’re not to be swallowed at all, nor should they be put directly onto the skin unless diluted with a mild lotion or carrier oil.
Choosing a favourite essential oil to diffuse is like choosing a favourite child. We love all of them for different reasons. Whether you need to reduce anxiety or boost your energy capacity, here are some common health conditions that can improve with the power of pure essential oils.
Alleviate Headaches
Headache again? Maybe it’s time you tried those hippie oils. Whether you have a hangover or a debilitating migraine, aromatherapy can be the perfect solution. The most common oils to use are eucalyptus, rosemary and sandalwood. This can help to contain your headache and reduce anxiety.
Antidepressant Capacity
Oils are my love language. Instead of relying on antidepressants, many homeopathic healers choose the essential oil diffusion method. Specialists in the area of alternative medicine recommend using chamomile, jasmine, lavender and peppermint.
Boost Energy Levels
In such a fast world, we all need an energy boost. Stimulants such as energy pills, cigarettes and coffee can cause damage to our bodies. By adopting a healthy life balance, an oil diffuser can assist and bring that spring back into your step. Clove, black pepper, jasmine, rosemary and tea tree oils can help to increase energy levels and circulation, without any side effects.
Enhance Immune System
I’m sure we all agree that it’s way better to prevent than it is to cure. Be one step ahead to prevent illness and boost your immune system by using oils such as; eucalyptus, lemon, frankincense, oregano, and peppermint. These oils are known for their antimicrobial effects.
Improve Digestion
Aromatherapy can also assist digestion. In particular, citrus oils can resolve some digestive conditions such as bloating and constipation. The most common oils such as; clary sage, chamomile, ginger and lavender help to speed up your metabolism so that food is digested faster.
Increase Memory
Memory loss can be an issue among the elderly and studies show that aromatherapy can be used as a supplement to help recall memories and form new ones. Experts agree that we do form a strong association between smell and memories. Sage is commonly used for enhancing memory.
Pain Relief
Aromatherapy can provide relief for many ailments, such as pain. Oils such as; clary sage, juniper, lavender, rosemary and peppermint can all help to alleviate many aches and pains.
Powerful Sleep Aid
So, you don’t get enough sleep each night? Once again, aromatherapy can help you get a balanced sleep and have you waking up feeling wonderfully rested. Chamomile, jasmine, lavender, sweet marjoram and ylang ylang can improve sleep. They not only improve sleep but can also realign your biological processes.
Stress Relief
Keep calm! there’s an oil for that. Aromatherapy is most popular for relieving stress. The aromatic compounds of many plants can assist in soothing your mind and body. The most common stress relieving oils are bergamot, lavender, lemon, lavender and peppermint.
I love it when my Oils kick in!
Aromatherapy creates a happy and healthy environment and there’s really very little that essential oils cannot do for our bodies on an emotional, mental and physical level. An Aroma Diffuser is the perfect solution to generate antibacterial and antimicrobial properties to eliminate airborne bacteria in your home or office. There are some that also double up as humidifiers and keep your airways healthy and moist to make you less susceptible to microbes.
